This 2024 Canadian Mint Peace Dollar is minted in one ounce of .9999 pure gold and has a high face value of $200. Only 650 coins were minted with a special Ultra High Relief strike giving a 3-dimensional appearance. Another feature is that select parts of the design have been layered in platinum. With only 650 coins minted each legal tender piece is an absolute rarity. PCGS has certified this coin in perfect PR70 DCAM condition with the coveted First Day of Issue provenance. It is one of a small number of coins signed by Susanna Blunt, who designed the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that appears on all legal tender Canadian coinage.

  • Limited edition. Mintage is limited to just 650 coins worldwide.
  • Special UHR design creates a 3-dimensional appearance.

Lady Peace is depicted in profile with her hair crowned in a wreath of olive branches and maple leaves. She is flanked by her name “PAX” (the Latin word for “Peace”) and the year “2024”, while Canada’s national motto, “A MARI USQUE AD MARE” (“From sea to sea”) appears overhead. The obverse features selective gold layering and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

Each Peace Dollar is a powerful representation of Canada’s ongoing dedication to universal human rights and world peace. Before becoming Prime Minister of Canada, Lester B. Pearson was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for organizing the first UN peacekeeping force. In the decades since, UN peacekeepers have helped de-escalate conflicts and save lives throughout the world.
