These two-piece sets comprise the first ever proof strike Morgan and Peace silver dollars struck at the San Francisco Mint.

From a total mintage of 400,000 sets only 40,000 sets have been defined as Advance Releases by the United States Mint. Surprisingly not every Advance Release proof coin has the full strike and flawless surfaces required to be awarded the perfect numismatic grade of PR70 DCAM. In fact, in 2021 from an authorized mintage of 17,500 Advance Release six-piece sets, PCGS has only certified 1,723 of them in perfect MS70 condition.
