This design was personally approved by King Charles III and will appear on all British coins
Imagine if the U.S. Mint decided to change all our coins designs all at the same time. The Penny all the way up to the Dollar coin. Make each of the coins in pure silver and make a tiny mintage! That is exactly what just happened in Great Britain!
When King Charles took over the British throne, he took over a very prestigious honor when it comes to coins. His image will now grace billions of coins world-wide. His effigy will be on more coins in the world than any other person. He also has the right to shape what the circulating coins will look like for his kingdom. That is exactly what the King decided to do. He decided to change all eight circulating coins at the same time! The Royal Mint then decided to issue an extremely limited silver Proof set of all eight of these coins called the “Definitives” set, and it certainly lives up to the name.
All eight coins are brand new designs, the first of their kind! Four of the coins are traditional round coins, two are unique 7-sided shaped coins, and two are bi-metallic silver coins that have a ring of yellow gold surrounding the silver core! They range in denomination from the lowest being a 1-Penny all the way to a 2-Pound denomination. Each coin features a different animal or plant that is native to the 4 regions of the British Empire. These were handpicked by the King himself.
These coins are truly beautiful and together displayed as a set, they really are as regal as you would imagine them to be! The mintage is only 3000 sets worldwide. This is so insanely low for the significance of this set! They are assured of being highly sought after coins for generations!
NGC has certified each coin in museum quality PF70 UCAM condition, the highest state of perfection possible. Each coin has the coveted First Day of Issue designation that collectors look out for. Better still, British sculptor Martin Jennings, the designer of the effigy of King Charles III has personally signed only one hundred of these extremely desirable sets. His initials MJ are engraved on every coin providing a matchless provenance.
Over thirty countries produce coins with the image of King Charles III. This historic collection is produced by the British Royal Mint, the original maker, and mother mint.
