This is the first American Silver Eagle proof coin released with the new Type 2 design created by Emily S. Damstra. This is one of only 22,500 coins designated as Advance Release coins and is certified in perfect PR70 condition by PCGS.

Coins are certified on a 70-point basis, with 70 being absolute perfection. This is the first “Advance Release” coin in the new Type 2 Silver Eagle series. The coin is signed by the designer Emily S. Damstra, whose initials ESD appear on the coin. Emily has 40 design credits with the United States and Royal Canadian Mints and her designs have won two Coin of the Year (COTY) awards.
