The United States Mint has capped the production of the new 2021 Type 2 American Silver Eagle proof coin at 300,000 coins. This is a tiny number when measured against the 1,446,776 Type 1 proof coins issued in 1986.

The U.S. Mint has authorized the release of 30,000 coins in advance of them going on sale to the general public. These coins have been designated as “Advance Releases” This special designation and low designated mintage makes this historic first year of issue Type 2 Silver Eagles highly collectible. We showcase the coins in perfect PF70 condition.
 
This coin bears the genuine hand signature of Anna Escobedo Cabral, 42nd Treasurer of the United States, one of the most coveted signatures in all of numismatics. Her signature also appears on Federal Reserve Notes Series 2003A, 2004A, 2006, and 2006A.
