This $25 one-ounce American Palladium Eagle has a limited mintage of only 8,700 coins, The lowest mintage limit for a U.S. Mint Palladium coin to date! The coin was struck in magnificent high relief at the Philadelphia Mint. We offer the coin in perfect MS70 condition by NGC. In addition to the perfect MS70 grade and First Day of Release status, this coin is individually hand-signed by Edmund C. Moy, 38th Director of the United States Mint.

Coins are graded on the Sheldon numeric grading scale of 1 to 70. To achieve the top grade 70, a coin must have no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. The series low mintage of only 8,700 coins, the valuable combination of the perfect MS70 grade, FDOR status, Mint Director black core label, low NGC certified population, and Edmund C. Moy signature, make this coin an absolute rarity.

 

Design


 
The obverse (Heads): A young depiction of Liberty with winged Phrygian cap, reminiscent of the Roman god Mercury. Adapted from Adolph Weinman's classic design first used on the Mercury Dime in 1916.


Reverse: A majestic eagle perched atop a rock along with the weight, purity, and $25 face value. This design, also created by Adolph Weinman, has been used since 1907 on the American Institute of Architects' annual Gold Medal.
