The Silver Dragon Dollar is one of China’s most famous vintage coins. The Reverse Dragon was a pattern coin that depicted a dragon curling in the opposite direction, the Reverse Dragon never circulated in China because of its rebellious symbolism, It was thought that the counterclockwise rotation of the dragon had a negative impact and represented disrespect towards the emperor. The dragon’s tail partially being wrapped in clouds was also against the monarchical rules.
