2019 $100 High Relief SP70 HIGH RELIEF SP70 First Day ANA Show Signed by two U.S. Mint Directors
The 2019 $100 American Liberty is a truly special coin minted from one ounce of pure 24-karat gold. Struck at the West Point Mint the design is reminiscent of the Classic $10 Gold Indian issued from 1907 to 1933.
The eye appeal on this coin is spectacular, the special high relief strike gives the coin a 3-dimensional appearance. High Relief coins are the pinnacle of numismatics. To get the desired effect, these coins are struck many times on specially prepared and polished dies. The extra strikes add more depth to the design of the coin, but they also add a deeper, brighter luster, which ensures that every millimeter of the intricate design shines through.
Condition
Coins are certified on a 70-point basis, with 70 being absolute perfection. Beyond the perfect SP70 grade, this coin has been designated Ultra Cameo (UC), the NGC equivalent PCGS’s Deep Mirror Like (DMPL) designation. There is no SP71 grade on the Sheldon Coin grading scale!, but an Ultra Cameo designation outshines a perfect SP70 designation.
