These coins were issued in recognition and celebration of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014. They were the first curved coins ever struck by the United States Mint. The obverses or heads side depicts Cassie McFarland’s baseball glove design, Don Everhart’s depiction of a baseball is shown on the reverse.
